Noel Mignon Challenge: Two Cool Chicks

Noel always puts awesome stamps in her kits and the Jenni Bowlin starburst circle in the Jump & Jive kit this month was no exception! For the next challenge, it's time to use those stamps! And can you believe it? I actually strayed from my typical kraft cardstock base and went with a black base on this layout! My little girls LOVE to wear their sunglasses so I knew I needed to make a layout documenting that.

I created a little collage using Lily Bee patterned paper and a sticker, the Jenni Bowlin stamp (with Paper Trey Vintage Cream Ink) and a Prima flower.

And this little collage mimics the one on top but with a smaller portion of the stamp and a sticker from Crate Paper. I also used the American Crafts white gel pen that Noel put in the last kit. LOVE!

And don't forget to stop by the shop today and pick up the "Mary Ellen" kit on sale now!

Have a great day! :)

GCD Studios Winter CHA Projects!

I am so excited to finally be able to share the layouts I created for GCD Studios for the Winter CHA show. I was able to work with three of the new collections: Material Girl, Animal Crackers - Girls and Fun House.

First, here is my layout using Material Girl and my "Little Diva" Lily posing with sunglasses. I love the juicy colors in this collection and the lacquered smooch was the perfect touch!

I played with mists on my cardstock and GCD Studios chipboard alphabet and stars as well as used the Chip Art tool.

And here is my layout using the Animal Crackers - Girls collection. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the colors in this one (brown, white, navy, pink and orange) and the designs are perfect for baby girls. Those little circles were just punched out of one of the patterned papers and I adhered several of them with foam adhesive for extra dimension.

I used a little flower with the Chip Art tool to stamp on the chipboard alphabet, and I love the extra texture that it brings to the layout.

This paper collection also includes gorgeous die-cut animal and flower shaped paper. I cut out several of the flowers for this layout and accented them with Stickles glitter glue.

And, finally with what I'm sure will be a favorite collection for me to use is the layout I created with Fun House, "The Merry-go-round." I just love the vintage feel of this collection.

I created the title with the Chip Art tool and a combination of metal stamps on one of the GCD Studios chipboard frames.

Thanks for looking today! I'm so excited for the new product to hit the shelves! :)

Play Ball!

Happy Thursday, friends! Hopefully, you have been enjoying warm spring weather wherever you are! We have had some beautiful days in Iowa although I hear there is a chance of snow on Friday. Yuck! My layout I have to share today uses the gorgeous "Jump & Jive" kit from Noel Mignon. I have fallen completely in love with this kit. I'm really loving the color combination! These photos are very recent (as in a staged photo shoot last week)...HA...but the emotion and pure joy on my girls' faces is all reality.

Funny little story... my girls scream in excitement when they see the red balls outside of Target. "BA! BA! BA!" is all we hear so their daddy picked them up their own "Target red balls" from their favorite place. They have fun kicking the ball, picking it up and rolling it around our yard. I think we'll have plenty of entertainment from their new toys this spring and summer. When I looked through the photos we took last week, I about died laughing when I saw the photos I ended up using on the top of my layout. We couldn't have staged those if we tried...perfect synchronization and in a perfect line!

I used both the alphabets in the kit by Sassafras Lass and American Crafts and outlined to help them pop off the page. The red pinked stickers are from the Portrait collection by Crate Paper.

I created a grid with punched pinked circles (punch by Martha Stewart) and patterned paper by Basic Grey, Echo Park, My Mind's Eye and Lily Bee. The doilies and butterflies are by Cosmo Cricket and brads are by My Mind's Eye.

I loved the chipboard "happy" sticker by My Mind's Eye.

Here I layered patterned paper by Basic Grey, a die-cut by My Mind's Eye that I cut apart to fit the photo and a Cosmo Cricket butterfly.

And here's another close-up of this collage...

And that's all from me today! I have much to do in the next couple weeks as a couple of little girls are turning two! And that means "Miss Crafty Mama" is busy making all the party decor! :)

Have a good day! :)

Pretty Little Studio: The Easter Bunny!

Hello there, friends! I'd like to say I was gone for awhile because I off vacationing somewhere glamorous for spring break. But, my life is not quite that exciting. :) It's all good though. I'm a bit of a homebody so I really don't mind being home with my little family. I've just been busy, busy enjoying the spring weather with my girls and doing a little spring cleaning. Today, I have a new layout to share using the cutie pie Hopscotch collection from Pretty Little Studio. This is our Easter bunny photo from last year.

I really love the paper ribbons included this collection and made a little collage of them in the corner.

The "Bunny" letters were hand cut from one of the patterned papers in the collection and they are too cute!

Pretty Little Studio: Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy weekend, friends! I have a lot to do today but first thought I would share a new Pretty Little Studio layout with you this morning. I'm also the featured designer over at the Pretty Little Studio blog so stop by if you want to learn a little bit more about me. :) My girls are quickly approaching their 2nd birthday so I've been working on scrapping some of their 1st birthday photos. The Scrumdidlyumptious paper collection was perfect for bright, fun birthday photos with accents from the Fruit Punch collection.

I used my Cricut to cut out a birthday cupcake with the Wild Card cartridge. Their entire party was cupcake themed.

And I got a wild idea to hand-stitch the border on my layout...NEVER again! I used the We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy tool to do it, but I think I'll stick to small hand-stitched accents. I don't have the patience to do a lot of hand-stitching.

Supply List:

And finally, I was pretty thrilled to see my little family house as the featured project over at Two Peas yesterday! Since it was Friday, it will be up all weekend too! What a great surprise! Only the 2nd time ever this has happened...made my day! :)

Have a great weekend! :)
